General Guidelines
- All children and parents must use the stage entrance and the large elevator when entering and leaving the MAC.
- Due to University Safety Policies, students must be escorted to and from their assigned studio for all classes and rehearsals.
- Parents/Guardians must be on time to pick up his/her child.
- Each parent/guardian must complete the Safety Form (found on the left menu; click on
How to Apply
.This form gives permission for travel arrangements and movement throughout the MAC.
- It is highly advised that parents/guardians with children under the age of 12 remain in the MAC for the duration of his/her child's class time.
- Disorderly conduct is not allowed in the MAC since there are academic classes, rehearsals, and performances occurring during Pre-College class times.

Parking
- Parking in the circle of the MAC is not allowed. You will be ticketed and towed. Indiana University Parking Operations AND the City of Bloomington will be monitoring the circle drive on a continuous basis. It is a safety hazard and illegal under University Policy. Please use one of the many surrounding parking lots. We appreciate your compliance with this rule.

parking permits are available for all parents who are not employees of Indiana University. This permit will allow you to park in any University lot after 5pm on weekdays and all day on Saturdays. You may purchase a permit by visiting Parking Operations located at Henderson Parking Garage, 310 S. Fess Ave. in Bloomington. Phone: (812) 855-9848. Their offices are open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday; please contact them at www.parking.indiana.edu.

Attendance and Arrival Time
- Good attendance and being timely for class is an important factor in each student’s progress. Students must be present and on time for all classes and rehearsals. Students should arrive at the MAC at least 10 minutes before their scheduled class time to allow for proper preparation for class.
- Late students will be allowed to take class only with the teacher’s permission. Repeated lateness and/or absence may result in class change to a lower level.

Dress Code
Creative movement (I, II, III):
Girls: Pink ballet shoes* are required. Leotard and tights (any color) or any other comfortable dance attire. Hair should be away from child’s face but does not have to be in a bun.
Boys: Black ballet shoes* are required. T-shirt (any color) and comfortable pants such as leggings, sweatpants, or shorts.
Intro to Ballet, Ballet I, II, III:
Girls: Pink ballet shoes*, pink tights, and pink leotard. Short ballet skirts may be worn. Hair must be in a bun; if your child’s hair is short, a headband is required.
Boys: Black ballet shoes*, white t-shirt, black sweatpants or leggings.
Ballet IV, V, VI, VII:
Girls: Pink ballet shoes*, pink tights, black leotard and elastic belt. Hair must be in a secure bun.
Boys: Black ballet shoes*, white t-shirt, black leggings or tights.
*Ballet shoes are best purchased at a dance store. They are made of leather or canvas. The required ballet shoes are not made of shiny material.

Refund Policy
- Withdraw before 2nd class: 100% refund
- Withdraw before 3rd class: 75% refund
- Withdraw after 3rd class: NO REFUND
- All refunds are subject to a $40.00 processing fee.
