Housing Arrangements

CAP I: Students under age 18. Three meals will be served daily and students  Students may live at home or off campus with a parent or guardian.  Click here to see  a picture. Click here to see a map.    Single room only, air conditioned, includes sheets and towels.   Dorm fees will be 100% refunded up to one month prior to first day of CAP I - after that there is no refund on Willkie dorm fees.  

CAP II:
For students age 18 and older.  Three meals will be served daily.  Graduate dorm accommodation, Willkie Center - $48.00/night (tax included) must be paid in advance.  Click here to see  a picture. Click here to see a map.    Single room only, air conditioned, includes sheets and towels. As students 18 and over are not minors they are not supervised in Willkie.

Dorm fees will be 100% refunded up to one month prior to first day of CAP II - after that there is no refund on Willkie dorm fees.

Registration:

July 20, 2008  2:00-4:00pm

Spaces are filled as applications and full payments are received.

CAP I and CAP II will end on Saturday, July 26, 2008.  Breakfast will be served but no activities are planned and all students need to check out of the dorms between 9:00 a.m. and noon.  CAP counselors will be present to assist students with check out.

  • Wait-List and Studio Confirmation Procedures
    There is a maximum of eight students per faculty member and/or instrument.  Spaces are filled as full payment is received.  If an application is received and all spaces have been filled, then the applicant will be notified and placed on a wait-list.  The $70.00 non-refundable application fee will not be processed. 

    Wait-listed applicants will be notified if a space becomes available.  The non-refundable application fee and full tuition will not be due for those on the wait-list unless a space becomes available.  Being on the wait-list does not guarantee a space will become available.  There is no charge for being wait-listed.  Students on the wait-list will be listed in the order their applications were received.
Refund Policy for CAP I and CAP II  
Refund on tuition, room and board and activity fees, minus a $200.00 cancellation charge will be given to CAP I and CAP II students if they withdraw from the program prior to the start of the workshop.  Refunds are not guaranteed once the workshop has begun.  They will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Refunds do not include the $70.00 non-refundable application fee.

Information for Off-Campus CAP I Students

  • Students staying off-campus cannot buy meal cards.  If they wish to eat meals with the in-house students they will have to pay cash for each meal.
  • The cost of CAP social activities is a separate fee. If off-campus students wish to participate in these events they are required to pay the $60 fee with their tuition.  
  • Off-campus students are the responsibility of the established legal guardian.  A drop-off and collect time has to be settled in advance with the CAP staff.
  • The agreed drop-off and collect time should be convenient to the CAP daily schedule. Transportation to the Indiana University campus is the responsibility of the designated legal guardian.
  • The CAP I student must be handed-off from the legal guardian to the CAP staff.
  • At no time can a CAP I student be dropped on the Indiana University campus and left unattended.

Traveling to CAP

All CAP students need to make their own travel plans to the Indiana University campus.  Bloomington does not have an airport and the closest one is 52 miles north, Indianapolis International Airport (www.indianapolisairport.com).

Public transportation from Indianapolis Airport:

Shuttle service (www.bloomingtonshuttle.com)

CAP students arriving by shuttle will be met by CAP counselors at the last stop on the IU campus, the IU Memorial Union.  Those traveling by car or limo should go directly to the dorm.   

College Audition Preparation I and II workshop will end on July 26 - breakfast will be served but no activities are planned.  All students need to check out of the dorm between 9:00 and noon.  CAP counselors will be present to assist with check out.
