Summer Opera Workshop

For present, former, and incoming Jacobs School of Music voice students

Maximum enrollment: 12 students, on a first come first served basis.

Pre-requisite:   All workshop applicants must be associated with Indiana University as a former, current or incoming student in the Jacobs School of Music.

This workshop is designed for IU Jacobs School of Music Singers who need to learn stage-craft and gain more confidence as singing actors.

The workshop will include three days of exercises in acting and in stage movement and deportment followed by intensive rehearsals of the assigned scenes. Each singer will be involved in at least two scenes portraying contrasting character types. Scene will be assigned upon full enrollment.

There will be separate sessions in Audition Training for each singer.
