Vital Dates

APPLICATION DEADLINE (received by):  May 9, 2008 

Late applications will be accepted on the basis of available space.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: May 16, 2008 by e-mail from the director  

Applicants will be notified of acceptance to the program by e-mail if possible, or by mail

postmarked on or before Monday, May 5, 2008.  The Piano Academy will respond in one

of three ways to a student's application: admit, decline, or wait-list. it is not always

possible to inform wait-listed students by the May 5th notification date whether we will

have a space for them. Occasionally, a wait-listed student may not get a definitive

decision until late May.

Applicants may request an early decision on their application. In most cases we can give

an answer relatively soon after the full application is received.  Note:  we must have all

application materials in hand to make an early decision; incomplete applications

will not be processed. To request an early decision, contact the director, Karen Taylor.

FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION DEADLINE (received by):  April 21, 2008

In order to be considered for financial assistance, the Piano Academy must receive all

application materials by April 21 including:

1) the completed application form 
2) a recording of two contrasting works
3) the principal teacher's recommendation 
4) the list of repertoire studied during the past two years 
5) the application fee
6) all relevant financial aid documents and fees. 

Note: April 20th is not the postmark deadline, but rather the date by which the

Special Programs Office must have received all application materials.

NOTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL AID AWARDS:  May 5, 2008

Applicants will be notified of awards by e-mail or by mail postmarked on or before May 5nd.
 

TOTAL FEES DUE:  May 23, 2008 - May 26 for those who applied after April 20, 2008

REGISTRATION:  SUNDAY JUNE 15, 2008 1:00-3:30pm
