Fees

Application fee:  $70.00

Tuition is as follows:
Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers, Part I (June 26-July 1): $450
Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers, Part II (July 1-5): $450

Retreat for School String Teachers (June 26-July 1): $450

(Prerequisite for enrolling in Session Two, is having taken Session One or having taken the Retreat for School String Teachers)                                    
The Complete Journey: Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers, Parts I and II (June 26-July 5): $800

The Complete Journey: Retreat for School String Teachers and Retreat for Violin and Viola Teachers, Part II (June 26-July 5): $800




Please note the following:

  • The non-refundable $70.00 application fee is a separate charge and not part of tuition.
  • On-campus housing will no longer be available after May 28, 2009.
  • Late applications will be accepted on the basis of available space.
  • There is a $35.00 cancellation fee for refunded tuition.
  • Tuition includes a temporary computer account and locker rental.
  • 1-2 hours of in-state(regardless of the state you are from) continuing education credit are available. For credit hour fees and associated fees please contact the Office of the Bursar: bursar.indiana.edu / 812-855-2636

    Credit hour fees and associated fees are a separate and additional cost to the workshop tuition.  A bill for the credit hour fees and mandatory fees will be sent from the Office of the Bursar - please do not include them with payment for the workshop.

Registration

Session One: June 26, 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Session Two: July 1, 8:30-9:00 a.m.

Retreat for School String Teachers: June 26, 8:30-9:00 a.m.

 

Daily Schedule
8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. "Teaching The Violin to Children"
10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Private lessons and practice
1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Lectures and Observation of the String Academy

Evening activities include String Academy concerts, master classes and performances of the Indiana University Summer Music Festival.
