Nathan Vickery
1st prize winner
in the International Popper Competition Hungary 2006

Nathan Vickery, 17, has been playing the cello for 11 years. His prizes have included First Prize in the 2005-06 Carmel Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition, Senior Division; First Prize in the 2006 Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Side-By-Side Competition; First Prize in the 2006 The Michael Ben and Illene Komisarow Maurer Young Musician's Competition; and First Prize in the Third Category (High School) of the David Popper International Cello Competition, held in Varpalota, Hungary. Nathan also won the principal cello position in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra's Side-By-Side student orchestra in both 2005 and 2006.
