SCHOLARSHIPS

The highest amount of a need-based award to
Summer String Academy 2009 is 10% of the tuition.

It is the goal of the School of Music to extend financial aid to families who demonstrate a commitment to musical education for their children.  However, financial aid resources are extremely limited. The fees of the Pre-College Programs are subsidized by Indiana University as a community outreach commitment.

Financial aid is awarded to families who have a total family income under $35,000 per year for school year programs and $50,000 per year for summer programs.

Please complete the application form and attach photocopies of the most recent signed Federal Tax Form 1040 with W2s from the applicant’s parent(s) or guardian(s). Check with the director of your child’s program/academy for the application deadline.

Failure to answer any part and or to provide necessary signatures will disqualify the applicant from consideration. All information is kept in strict confidence. This scholarship application is not complete without the most recent signed Federal Tax Form 1040 with W2s attached from the custodial parent(s) or guardian(s) of the applicant.

Priority application deadline for Financial Aid is March 1, 2009.  Consideration for Merit Awards is open until May 31, 2009.
