Bruce Simpson is the artistic director of the Louisville Ballet.   

   Born in Glasgow, Scotland,  he was principal dancer and ballet master

   for South Africa’s State Theater Ballet where he was a member of the

   company for 30 years. 

Mr. Simpson has danced with the London Festival Ballet and Royal Ballet.  He has worked with dance companies and schools in southern Africa, Israel, Russia and Hong Kong.  Bruce had been artistic director of Texas Ballet Theater, formerly the Fort Worth-Dallas Ballet, prior to his directorship of the Louisville Ballet.
