Young Pianists ProgramSummer Semester 2009
Dr. Karen Taylor, Director of the Indiana University Piano Academy and Young Pianists Program, welcomes all prospective students and families to the 2009 Summer Semester of the Young Pianists Program.
Important Dates:Young Pianists will have two 5-week summer sessions. Summer Session I will begin on May 10, 2009 and will end on June 13, 2009. Summer Session II will begin after Session I, and will last 5 weeks. Specific starting and ending dates for the summer sessions are somewhat flexible and can be set at the mutual convenience of parents and teacher as long as there are sufficient weeks to finish the session. Summer Session Application and payment due: May 10, 2009. New students should contact Dr. Taylor directly to register. Late applications will be accepted on a space-available basis. Registration and tuition deadline for returning students: May 10, 2009. Deadline for need-based scholarship applications: not available for summer sessions. Deadline for artistic merit scholarship applications: not available for summer sessions.
All students: Please download a Safety Form from the left menu and bring it to your first lesson. If you are applying for a need-based scholarship, you should enclose:

If you are applying for an artistic merit scholarship, you should enclose:
2. Tuition payment (a minimum of 50% of all tuition is due with the registration form). 3. A letter of request for merit aid must also be sent to Dr. Karen Taylor (karmtayl@indiana.edu) stating the reasons why you feel you qualify. For more detailed instructions, see the YP Policy Page 4. Deadline for receipt of RENEWAL merit scholarship applications: TBA. 5. Deadline for receipt of FIRST-TIME merit scholarship applications: TBA. Incomplete registrations can not be processed. If an artistic merit or a need-based scholarship is not awarded to an applicant or if there is a tuition balance, then that balance is due immediately. |
